Niwaki Sharpening Stone - Fine

£15.00
sold out

Niwaki sharpening stones (whetstones) are perfectly designed for use with secateurs. They’re also perfect for shears, snips, scissors and more. These stones feature a concave edge that follows the curve of a secateur blade while the flat edges suits a straight blade.

The key is to soak them thoroughly before each use by submerging them in water and waiting for all the bubbles to stop. You’re then ready to begin sharpening. As with all whetstones, these are fragile and so don’t drop them onto a hard surface.

For the best way to take care of your blades remove any resin and first first using Crean Mate (rust eraser). When the blades are clean sharpen them with the required stones (course, regular, fine) and then protect then with Camellia Oil to keep the rust at bay.

– 3000 grit
– 136g
– 131 x 20 x 23mm
– Made in Osaka, Japan
